We walked over from the Westin for breakfast. Greeted by very friendly staff, seated promptly. The food was good,, hot and filling. Will probably go back again in the morning. They also have lunch, dinner, and a small bar and have had a crowd in the 3 days we are on Jekyll. And the prices are reasonable.
We had dinner here last night. My wife and I split the Alaskan Snow crab legs 1.5 lb at market price, they were delicious. Our server was very fast and friendly, highly recommend.. apologize for not remembering the female server's name, she was a middle aged white lady.
A woman working at the Jekyll Island visitor center recommended this restaurant along with the fresh catch sandwich. While we did not get that sandwich I saw it when another customer ordered it and it looked awesome! My husband and I both ordered a Caesar salad, his with added grilled chicken and mine with added grilled shrimp (yummy). I'd definitely come back next time we're on Jekyll Island!
Set in the downtown Jekyll Island area, this nice little eatery offers the main strip offers indoor and outdoor seating. Came in on Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, even for a large party. The service was a little slow due to only a couple servers but they made up for it with excellent service. I ordered calamari which was good but not great. The shrimp po boy however, was absolutely fantastic as well as filling. I would definitely recommend Sunrise for lunch or breakfast on Jekyll Island.
I really like this place, especially because I can get a half order of the most delicious biscuits and gravy, served with a friendly face and great service. I liked the breakfast potatoes, the grits were a bit bland. But this is everything a breakfast Cafe should be and look like. Next year we will be back!
